These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Everything Is PDF, a free, account-free collection of browser-based and temporary server-assisted PDF tools. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Acceptable use
Use the service only for lawful purposes and only with documents you are authorized to access, edit, convert, upload, or share. Do not use it to infringe another person’s rights, distribute unlawful material, evade a security control, bypass or crack a PDF password, probe the service for vulnerabilities, interfere with availability, or send malicious files or instructions.
PDF and file processing
Each tool explains its processing boundary before or during the workflow. Most page editing, image conversion, text extraction, comparison, signing, and OCR run in your browser. Word-to-PDF, Excel-to-PDF, protection, and unlocking use temporary server processing. Optional AI actions may send bounded extracted text and the requested task to a configured provider; the original PDF is not sent through the AI endpoint.
Processing creates a new result and does not overwrite your original file. Temporary server files are intended to be removed after the requested operation succeeds or fails, but you should download the result and keep your own original copy.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the files you select, the instructions and passwords you enter, your device and browser, and your use of each downloaded result. Review important names, dates, numbers, tables, signatures, page breaks, translations, and AI output against the original before relying on them or sharing them.
Privacy and data handling
Our Privacy Policy describes browser-local processing, temporary server operations, optional AI processing, analytics, advertising, storage, and logs in more detail. Do not submit a document when the tool’s stated processing boundary is unsuitable for its sensitivity. Do not include passwords, private keys, or confidential document contents in a support message.
Third-party services and advertising
The site may rely on hosting, analytics, advertising, conversion, AI, and other third-party services to operate particular features. Google Analytics may measure site usage, and Google AdSense or other advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, or personalize advertising where permitted. Those providers may process information under their own terms and policies. Your use of a third-party feature may also be subject to that provider’s terms.
Intellectual property
The site’s original interface, branding, text, code, and other materials belong to their respective owners and may not be copied, modified, or redistributed except as permitted by law or with permission. You retain your rights in documents you submit. You grant the service only the limited operational permission needed to process a file for the action you request, and no ownership of your document is transferred to the service.
Service limitations
PDFs and Office files can contain unusual fonts, forms, annotations, scans, encryption, macros, charts, tables, or damaged structures. A tool may reject a file, time out, produce a different layout, or fail to preserve every feature. Browser memory, server limits, provider availability, network conditions, and device capabilities can also affect a result.
Disclaimers
The service and its outputs are provided on an as-available, best-effort basis without a promise that every workflow will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure for every use case, or suitable for every document. Nothing on the site or produced by a tool is legal, tax, medical, financial, compliance, translation-certification, or other professional advice. You decide whether a result is fit for purpose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service, processing boundaries, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
